Ehsan Hamzehpoor

Dr. Hamzehpoor joined the Université de Montréal (UdeM) as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry in May 2025 and established the "Laboratoire des matériaux organiques programmables et poreux (LMOP2) " at the MIL campus.

He and his team are molecular architects, with the overarching aim of controlling organic materials' architecture for advanced functionalities.

His research is guided by curiosity and creativity. He explores how molecular-level changes propagate into emergent material properties and how new materials and properties can be discovered in parallel with high-throughput experimentation.

Central to his vision is the training of researchers who are confident, versatile, and collaborative, scientists who view research not as a fixed set of instructions, but as an evolving process of asking better questions and developing meaningful solutions.
